Our Story

Our Story: Locally Owned and Family Operated Pest Control

Here at Four Seasons Pest Solutions, our story is one of a locally owned and family operated company. Matthew and Angela Hess acquired ownership and took control Four Seasons Pest Solutions in 2008. The company was founded on years of knowledge and experience, while simultaneously built on trust, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Today, Four Seasons is still that same company but with much larger territories, a bigger customer base and more knowledge and experience than ever!

The Beginning of Our Story

Since 1999, Matthew has worked in the pest control industry. After a series of mergers, he found himself working for Four Seasons. Working with the company from its infancy, he helped shape and grow it from the beginning.

Our Story is one of a locally owned and operated pest control run by Matthew and Angela Hess.

Crossing the Sea of Change

Through the years, drastic changes in the industry have occurred. With his knowledge and expertise, Four Seasons as adapted and excelled in every change. From the introduction of Cockroach Gel Baits and the introduction of non-repellant termiticides, to the modern outbreak of Bed Bugs, or the 2022 outbreak of imported fire ants in eastern Kentucky, Hess has seen industry changes that have reshaped the face of modern pest control.

Law and Order

Modern laws, mitigations, rules and personal preferences have also changed through the years. Four Seasons Pest Solutions has also been active in providing state certified quality training and education for the pest control industry. The company also hosts a local CEU course for the state of KY and TN (South KY PCO Course). Here, pest control professionals can attend and receive their state mandatory CEU’s. Hess has been instrumental in planning, coordinating and teaching within the school.

Numbering the Programs

Emphasis on research and development of key products for our customer base has been one of Hess’s priorities. Hence programs like our Platinum Pest Prevention Plan, A.C.T. Bed Bug Plan, AIP Plan, Silver Standard Plan and many others, were either developed or co-developed with Hess. Unlike many pest control companies who just show up and “spray for bugs”, Hess does indeed have a plan for every customer.

“We don’t like just showing up and spraying a little here and a little there. Our goal is to help people live pest-free lives while we also maintain balance with the environment.” Hess says. “That means we can’t just ‘wing it’. We have to go into every account with a plan and purpose, so we develop those plans and implement them for our customers.”
