Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System
Four Seasons Pest Solutions offers complete termite control through colony elimination utilizing the Sentricon Baiting System. Sentricon has been the leading name in termite control for almost 3 decades and shows no sign of stopping! This product eliminates the entire colony by disrupting the ability for worker termites to molt. When a termite can’t molt, they can’t survive. With no workers in a colony, the colony will starve. Once the queen dies, the colony is finished. No queen. No colony. No Worries!

Termite Inspections
If your home isn’t protected from termites by one of our termite treatment plans, an annual inspection is the next best thing. Although this won’t prevent your home from potentially having an infestation and the damage that accompanies infestation, it can reduce the damages if caught early on. That’s why we recommend an annual termite inspection be performed on every untreated structure.

Subterranean Termite Basics
About mid February of every year, termite season begins in our region. Depending upon the weather, termites may begin swarming slightly at this time. By April or May, termite swarms can be at the height of swarm season. During this time it is common to find termite swarmers and their shed wings on your vehicle, in your window sills both inside and outside, in spider webs and many other places.
Seeing termite swarms or their shed wings is a strong indication that you have an infestation. However, just because you don’t see them does not mean you don’t have them. Get a free termite inspection and know for sure. Your home is too valuable to let termites destroy it.

BIOLOGY BASICS
Subterranean termites are social insects that live in societies whose members are mostly immature individuals. Their colonies, which can contain thousands to millions of termites, are formidable, even though each individual termite is soft-bodied and delicate. In nature, subterranean termites are closely associated with the soil habitat where they tunnel to locate water and food (e.g., wood, fallen logs, and other cellulose-containing materials). Termites excavate galleries throughout their food as they consume it. They conceal their workings and can completely honeycomb wood by feeding along the grain and following the softer spring wood, leaving little more than a thin wooden exterior. Subterranean termites construct above-ground earthen runways (shelter tubes) that protect them from the drying effects of air as well as from natural enemies, such as ants. Termites are very susceptible to desiccation, and thus they are dependent on moisture sources.
